Permanent Student Washrooms

Completion Date:  2015

Two eco toilets  were erected when Building Hope Academy was first opened.  This provided two toilets for approximately 90 students.  As more children were added, more toilets were required to meet the demands of a school of this size.  Eventually several new permanent toilets were added.

Toilets alone are a novelty for these children.  For most of them, at school is the first time that they have seen or used a 'regular' toilet.   Part of this project includes teaching the children and their parents about basic hand washing and personal hygiene.
