Baby Class (Kindergarten)
At Building Hope Academy (and in all of Kenya) children start school at age 3. The three year olds are in the Baby Class, the four year olds make up Middle Class and the five year olds are in Top Class.
As Building Hope Academy grows with it's students, it will serve students up to the age of 13 or 14 (Form 8). The kind of classrooms effective for older students are not the same as those needed for the youngest students. These young students need their own space, designed for the style of learning that suits them best.
With this in mind BHS has taken advantage of the expansive dining hall to partition a section of it to be used for the Baby classes. In this way, the original Baby classroom was able to be refurbished as a secure computer lab.
