All projects are chosen in consultation with the community. The Building Hope Society is currently working on the following projects at Building Hope Academy:

Final Two Classrooms - Cost $45 000 USD
The dining hall is currently being used for the dual purposes of meal service and make shift classroom space. Two more classrooms are needed to provide proper learning spaces to ensure all students at BHA receive the best possible education. Read more

Latrines - Cost $8000 USD
Science Laboratory - Cost $5000 USD
A modern science laboratory was constructed at BHA in 2023. The space is in need of the finishing touches, including desks, materials and equipment.
Teachers' Salaries - Cost $3000/month USD (total for all staff)
BHA has worked hard to secure reliable, well-trained, motivated teachers. Since BHA is not a government funded school, all salaries must be provided through donations. This is an ongoing challenge. Read more

Sponsorship - Cost $400 USD per student
Many of the local students who are unable to provide tuition for BHA are welcome to receive their education without cost. To offset these fees, donors are invited to sponsor one or more children. Read more
The Encowment Fund - Cost per cow $2500 CAD (Dairy) $350 CAD (Beef)
The EnCOWment fund has been established to be a long-term, community-managed funding source, designed to support Building Hope Academy meet its ongoing financial needs. A herd of Maasai cows has been established to help with the school’s finances; books, food for the students and teachers’ salaries. Read more
